Dr. EunMee Yang is a Licensed Acupuncturist who combines the wisdom of Traditional East Asian Medicine with the rigor of modern biomedical science to help patients feel and function at their best. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the Virginia Board of Medicine.
Her path to acupuncture began with a deep curiosity about how the body works and how health can be restored. After earning her B.S. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. Yang went on to study acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Virginia University of Oriental Medicine. She then completed her Ph.D. in Acupuncture from the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, followed by an MPH in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health and a postdoctoral research fellowship in Integrative Health from Harvard Medical School.
In her practice, Dr. Yang takes time to understand each patient’s story—their health concerns, lifestyle, and goals—before creating an individualized treatment plan. She believes healing happens when symptoms are addressed in the context of the whole person, and she is committed to providing a calm, supportive space where patients can experience meaningful improvement in their well-being.
